Why Are Femenists Ignoring The Violent Gang Rape Of Former Porn Star Cytherea?

For this, I source a re-tweet of one of my Twitter follows. Though a re-tweet, I do know Mercedes Carrera (yes, the porn star) from her appearance on a fairly recent episode of the Drunken Peasants (if your expecting a good show, you won’t be disappointed. Not from Mercedes however 😛 ). Below I will embed the tweet, along with a video she made on the subject.

My first reaction to this was, DAMN! Way to go girl!

I have written my share of pieces on the topic of “Feminism” (I use the term loosely). I have written my criticisms of the ideological mess that encompasses the word today, and of risks and problems I see coming out on account to said ideology. But I admit that I have tried to avoid if at all possible, going after any of the Big names directly (though I do at times use indirect references).

I failed on one occasion, after a certain feminist pop culture critic dared to take to twitter and attempt to put a radical feminist spin on a Washington school shooting (before the dead were even in the grave). Like my first post on the Trayvon Martin shooting, it was written whilst the anger was still fresh. But my second post on the same subject (with a weeks distance apart from the first) was less aggressive. Which was why I decided to purge the angry Anita post whilst in the process of the WP facelift.
Not out of fear or censorship pressure. More, because such chatter only helps to further her cause, gives her proof of the “abuse” and “bullying” she gets on account to assholes on the internet. So I will not be part of it.

But moving on, going on 3 months ago now, porn star Cytherea had her home invaded by 3 teenagers (2 of them minors). The family was abused (Cytherea,  sexually), and all while there were children present. The teens were picked up the next night trying to pull the same shit, somewhere else.
The attack on Cytherea’s family was so violent that all 3 of the suspects (2 minors) are going to be tried as adults, and could face life in prison if found guilty.

One interesting aspect of this story is that this is the first that I am hearing of it. I have 2 twitter feeds and a facebook feed that serves up a whole host of stories that I consume (and sometimes reference) on a daily basis. I also receive a number of daily, weekly and biweekly newsletters that also keep my up to date on various issues. Not to mention some news programing,  and of course chatter by my various youtube content creators.

Despite having what I would say to be a fairly good grasp on the goings on within various areas of society (both on and off-line), I never seen or heard this story come from ANY of the sources. I never seen any of the news sources that I regularly utilize (mainly progressive outlets with various bias’s towards feminism).
AND I have yet to hear this from anyone on youtube (well, aside from Mercedes and Sargon of Akkad’s re-tweet). Though youtuber’s are not a news source (excluding maybe TYT and The Dave Pakman Show), they tend to keep a a good eye on (and report on) the world of radical feminism.

It is interesting, this silence on this news. To quote the article mercedes linked:

If ever there was a story for feminists to get enraged about, this would be it. According to SJWs, America fosters a “rape culture,” where sexual assault is trivialized and men are encouraged to feel “entitled” to womens’ bodies. You can’t get more entitled than a gang of ghetto thugs invading a woman’s home and raping her at gunpoint.

The article then takes an interesting turn, by listing some potential reasons why the loud public faces of feminism may be steering clear of this case.

500x336xcytherea-rapists.jpg.pagespeed.ic.Zfb8W2dKK4

One look at the race of Cytherea’s alleged rapists and you can see a big reason why the left won’t touch the story. The media is constantly on the lookout for what Tom Wolfe calls the “Great White Defendant,” a criminal case featuring a white man who is utterly guilty of victimizing a woman or a racial minority.

This desire to demonize white men drives not only popular rape hoaxes such as the Duke lacrosse case or the UVA rape story, but white-on-black crime stories such as the Trayvon Martin case and the Ferguson debacle.

Feminists are also ignoring Cytherea’s rape because of the class factor. The rape stories that SJWs squirt tears over—such as UVA rape liar Jackie Coakley or “Mattress Girl” Emma Sulkowicz—involve upper-class white girls being purportedly brutalized by “entitled,” “privileged” white men. Cytherea is a former porn star, and while there are “sex-positive” feminists out there, they’ve been eclipsed in power by neo-Puritans such as Anita Sarkeesianand Lindy West who wax poetic about “affirmative consent” and think that porn is a tool of the patriarchy.

SJWs are so wedded to their narrative of rape being perpetuated by upper-class white men that they’ll rush to defend any wealthy white girl who cries rape, no matter how obvious her lie.

Surly, this can not be so. Though I know that there are 10,000 different versions of the definition of “feminism”, I had assumed that the thing that binded them all together was a mutual agreement that harm towards ANY women is wrong. The first wave may have been started by Caucasian women (and in the interest of Caucasian women), but surly we have progressed passed such stages by 2015.

It’s precisely because of SJW narcissism that they ignore real rape victims like Cytherea in favor of liars like Emma Sulkowicz or UVA’s Jackie Coakley. The “rape culture” narrative is not about protecting women, but punishing men for being men. It’s an expression of an entire generation of women’s inability to cope with anything outside of their wealthy, upper-middle class bubbles.

Quite a scathing conclusion, if I do say so my self. But I would hope that he has something to show for such claims. Oh yes, he does.

Last week, Return of Kings publisher Roosh Valizadeh posted an article on his blog titled “How to Stop Rape,” where he facetiously suggested that legalizing rape on private property would bring an end to “rape culture.” Despite the obviously satirical nature of the article, feminists reacted to it with violent rage. As of this writing, Roosh has been denounced by The Mirror, xoJane, Raw Story and more, none of whom have written about Cytherea.

We saw a similar situation several months back when it was revealed that Pakistani rapist-pimps had forced thousands of white girls in the English city of Rotherham into the sex trade for over a decade, but local authorities didn’t do anything about it out of fear of being seen as “racist.” Feminists all but ignored the Rotherham debacle in favor of wringing their hands over the “victimization” of Jennifer Lawrence and other celebrity white girls in the Fappening.

The reason why feminists are more upset over satirical articles and the “problems” of millionaires then by actual rape is because they’re narcissists.Their agita about “rape culture” is driven by a desire to remake the world to accommodate their various flaws. “Yes Means Yes” laws, campaigns against “manspreading,” and the like are smokescreens to disguise young women’s fear of masculinity and discomfort with themselves.

I like that he calls out some “progressive” sources for not only taking a satire article seriously, but for also not running the Cytherea story. And the Rotterdam story was a good addition to, as it is reflective of potentially hundreds of similar situations that are ignored on account to, twitter PTSD or sexism in video games.

I would like to think the best of the situation. Its a big world out there, so maybe,  just MAYBE, this is not on the radar of many mainstream online feminists because they are ignorant to the subject.

Well, umm, ok. Weaponized rape? WHAT?!

Well, I can not confirm or deny any of the racial, classiest or misandry claims against the loud online radical feminists, but by now (given the age of these articles) its doubtful that ignorance is the reason for the silence of the feminists.
Though I would have thought that denouncing violence against women would have put everyone in this situation on the same page, it instead appears to have created a rift within the “feminist” community.  Those whom are acknowledging (and denouncing) the  rape of former porn star Cytheria, and those who are not.

The articles above are for reference only. Though many claims are made, one should be careful of how seriously ones takes them (you can’t read peoples minds, we all have bias’s etc).
And it could be argued that Cytheria is only one of, many.

But, I have to agree with the writer of the quoted article, in his assertion that many of the cases that the mainstream radical feminists tend to latch on to, have a tenancy of being either untrue or very different to the original story. Publications with good credentials have been burned by such hot potatoes. Victims of a culture that values punishment over all else (even the truth).
Here we have a case that is proven to be true (there was police involvement!). A case of an innocent victim attacked and used as little more then a tool for sexual pleasure. You don’t even have to donate to Mercedes’s charity ( here , you have 10 days left, from March 22, 2015 ), just give it some coverage.

  1. I am almost lost for words at all this. “I had assumed that the thing that binded them all together was a mutual agreement that harm towards ANY women is wrong.” – Yes. It has to be or they aren’t feminists, so these creatures are not. For myself the labels that pop up through this article, and society in general, on all sides (sides ffs), are constantly used as bait to get whoever people want vilified just that. There is a great deal of hate towards left-wing feminists. There are also many who call themselves that who are absolute horrors, as apparently the case here. I was expecting the problem to be down to her being a porn star, rather than race mind you. It’s all so fucked up (pardon my language). To my mind feminism was incredibly important in order to specifically get women’s voices heard from way back in the 1800’s, but what we should be working on now is equality. No sides at all. A humanist/personist perhaps. This whole tale is horrifying, the woman was raped in front of her children, there should be no silence from anyone, there should be screaming from the rooftops saying how wrong it is and demanding justice. This is basic human rights, the right to be safe in your home and the right for said justice no matter who commits the crime. Also the fact that one woman is determined to be telling the truth about a rape, and the other deemed to be lying based on their body language is absolutely bloody outrageous. Has she been proved to be a liar? I can’t find a court case on it online, though I can see that she says yes he did, and he says no I didn’t. In these cases I have always believed that the accused and the accuser’s names and identity should be 100% private from the public until, or unless a case is brought and a verdict given. Other wise someone’s life is being ruined, probably both of them.

As usual I am riled enough to write a much longer comment than I tend to on other blogs. This is indicative of the important subjects you raise, and specific cases that those in the UK would never get to hear about.

She gets raped on camera in front of her children for money, but society calls it “porn”. I’m confused at society’s sense of ethics. Paid rape is okay but unpaid rape is bad? Money makes the difference???

      • It’s rape if you do not give permission. If you say no. Its not rape if you say you want to have sex with one or as many individuals as you choose for money. This is acfact irrelevant to whether you agree with porn or not. If there’s even the slightest hint that one thinks there’s no difference and therefore it isbok for her to be as abused as anyone fancies then that view is sickening and warped.

Im curious if there is a misunderstanding here.

She was sexually assaulted by assailants that broke into her home. She was (or was formerly, according to Mercedes) a porn star, but that was entirely septate from family life. Its not like she was getting pounded in one room, and the kids are eating chili dogs in the other.

But SUTC is entirely right. You clearly have a warped view of what rape is. Rape is the act of continuing a sexual act if the other party says no. Finances have nothing whatsoever to do with the situation.

I don’t at all. Thats what this area is for. And long comments are good, because it shows an evaluation of the information presented. As opposed to, regurgitation of what one is sure is already correct. Which is all to common on the internet.

A friend of mine had an interesting take on all of this. He figures (from what I understand anyway) that the loud feminists don’t cover this, because it puts them in a weird position. If they cover the story and give it limelight, then it is seen as shining a negative light on African Americans (since all the perpetrators are black). Yet to not cover it puts them in a seemingly hypocritical position.

I suppose that I understand this sentiment. Yet at the same time, it is just stupid. In my mind were calling out people who have done terrible things, and shining light on a victim. The fact that an aspect of segregation may be detected (and deemed offensive) by anyone is, a good sign of why separating isn’t doing anyone any good.
Unless creating new racist and/or sexist situations where none existed before (OR SHOULD EXIST!) is going to bring us closer to a solution to either problem (or its symptoms). Its not.
