Bullshit Alert!

NN I don’t think I have seen such a load of horse shit since, the last election.

I thank the facebook user and friend of mine who commented on this abomination of intellectual thought, for putting it on my radar.

On the other hand . . .

The Federal Communications Commission approved the policy known as net neutrality by a 3-2 vote at its Thursday meeting, with FCC Chairman Tom Wheeler saying the policy will ensure “that no one — whether government or corporate — should control free open access to the Internet.”

The Open Internet Order helps to decide an essential question about how the Internet works, requiring service providers to be a neutral gateway instead of handling different types of Internet traffic in different ways — and at different costs.

Suck it Steve Scalise. I would have said the same for Tom Wheeler (being his stance beforehand), but I have to give credit for listening to the people. Or, the other big monetized interests of the internet (big social media and search platforms, investors in up coming online platforms). Either way, Americans don’t have to worry about having yet another headache brought on by their telecommunications lobby.

Well, not yet.

Yes, Telus is a Canadian ISP. But it is more the methodology that matters, then the ISP.

With luck I am wrong to think that this is the route that many of the big American ISPs like Comcast, Time Warner, Verizon and AT&T will go. But one has to always assume that they are looking for a backup plan, since plan A (kill Net Neutrality) is now dead in the water.
In fact, I would not be one bit surprised if many eyes are on Telus now. To see how there “bucketed” internet works out. And if it works out good, expect to potentially see it not just in the US, but also in Canada (maybe even internationally).
